Dear Colleagues:
Greetings and a happy belated New Year from the School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University! We are currently recruiting Doctoral students to begin study in Fall of 2015. We would be most grateful if you would direct interested individuals to our website (http://watson.okstate.edu/eeephd) where they may begin the application process.
The School of Entrepreneurship was recognized as the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s 2013 National Model Doctoral Program in Entrepreneurship.
As one of only a handful of universities offering a Doctorate degree dedicated solely to entrepreneurship, the School of Entrepreneurship at OSU is an ideal place and natural home for intellectually curious and hardworking individuals with a keen interest in making scholarly contributions to the science and practice of entrepreneurship. Recent graduates have been placed in Division 1 schools. The School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State houses eminent scholars such as Robert A. Baron, Bruce Barringer, Tracy Suter and Brandon Mueller.
Admitted Doctoral students receive a stipend ($17,000+ per academic year), tuition waiver, and paid travel to academic conferences. Competitive summer research grants and teaching opportunities (up to $5,000) are also available to support the research interests of Doctoral students.
The School of Entrepreneurship is complemented by the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship, which is engaged in highly innovative entrepreneurial outreach on campus, in the region, nationally, and internationally.
The Doctorial Program has a university-wide focus where the School of Entrepreneurship works with faculty and staff from disciplines across campus, with key faculty members in different colleges and schools serving as Riata Fellows in the School of Entrepreneurship.
Although our core emphasis is innovative, growth-oriented ventures, we seek students interested in entrepreneurial behavior in all of its manifestations, including start-up, corporate, social and public sector contexts.
The Doctoral Program is personalized to reflect the intellectual interests of the students, while capitalizing on the strengths of our entrepreneurship faculty. Students are afforded the opportunity to generate and publish research with faculty mentors, and receive active support in facilitating their own research.
Best,
-matt
