Saarland University (Germany) "Visiting Researcher - Entrepreneurship Program"
Saarland University, Germany, is looking for a visiting researcher/professor to internationalize teaching and research in the field of entrepreneurship at Saarland University and its entrepreneurship programs. Candidates should have an international background (non-German) and should have expertise in the field of business economics, macroeconomics, or psychology. Candidates should be willing to come from mid-October until mid-December 2015 and from mid-January until mid-February 2016 to Saarland University. We prefer professors (or scientists) working at an international university well-respected for entrepreneurship. Candidates should have a PhD in related fields. To facilitate and promote international co-operations, a business incubator should exist at the candidate's home institution. The candidate is expected to work together with the business incubator at Saarland University. Moreover, research collaborations in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation management are possible and particularly welcomed (Jun.-Prof. Dr. Sven Heidenreich and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Martin Obschonka).
For this described position, 12.000 € fees and 2.000 € travel expenses were estimated (taken as a whole).
Saarland University is one of only three universities in Germany to be awarded the prestigious title "Entrepreneurship University" in the beginning of 2013 within the framework of the competition ´EXIST-Culture of Entrepreneurship - The Entrepreneurship University´ arranged by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The key strategic aim is to develop a sustainable culture of entrepreneurship in teaching, research, and administration at Saarland University and non-university research institutes in the region.
Saarland University (18.000 students) is a modern, international research university located in Saarbrücken, the capital of the German state of Saarland. The Saarland region, which is near the French border, is part of the Greater Region SaarLorLux – Saarland, Lorraine in France, and Luxembourg. Frankfurt am Main is 2 hours and Paris just 1h50min away by train.
