Than you could be a hot candidate for this position, especially if parts of your research concerns the "people" or "employee" side of innovations and entrepreneurship. It is understood that applicants with the perfect X and Y mix implied by the position title are hard to find, so strength in either innovation- or HRM-related topics with some representation of the other, will carry far.
The QUT Business School was the first in Australia to achieve "Triple Crown Accreditation" (AACSB; AMBA; EQUIS). The recruitment is made by its School of Management (=management department), which is home to The Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (ACE). The ACE centre has established itself as a national leader and is internationally highly regarded in entrepreneurship research. We were recently ranked 17th in the world and 2nd outside Europe and North America based on publications. We have had very good presence at/in leading conferences and journals in recent years. We host the annual, Australian-based research conference dedicated to entrepreneurship, ACERE and we are the Australian team of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Further, we have an increasing number of research students and we frequently host international top entrepreneurship scholars as visiting academics. ACE's Director Professor Per Davidsson was the 2011/12 elected Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division of AoM and two ACE researchers, Judy Matthews and Roxanne Zolin currently serve as Representatives-at-Large. Professor Davidsson is also a field editor for the Journal of Business Venturing while the editor-in-chief of JBV, Professor Dean Shepherd, is an adjunct with the centre. Two other staff, Deputy Director Paul Steffens and Dr Henri Burgers are on the JBV board of reviewers.
The holder of this new position would be excellently equipped to contribute to and benefit from ACE's strengths.
