    The Saunders College of Business (SCB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Entrepreneurship.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate graduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses and publishing high quality scholarly research in related areas.  The Saunders College values collegial individuals who are excellent communicators, innovative teachers, and active researchers.  The College works closely with the business community, which provides research and professional opportunities.  The typical teaching schedule is five semester courses per year.

     Department Description:

    THE COLLEGE/ DEPARTMENT:  The Saunders College of Business is served by 49 full-time faculty members who value collegiality, diversity, and team work.  The Saunders College is accredited by AACSB International and offers bachelors' degrees in business administration with seven different majors. Graduate programs include an MBA, an Executive MBA, and Masters of Science programs in Management and Finance.  Saunders is ranked in the top 100 by US News and World Report.  The Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship was ranked as one of the most innovative programs in the world by Business Week.  The Albert J. Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship enhances entrepreneurship activities, including the RIT Venture Creations Incubator and, its student incubation program was named one of the top in the country.

     Job Requirements:

    • Qualified candidates should hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Marketing, Innovation, or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Assistant Professor candidates may be ABD with expected completion by May 2015.

    • Interest in teaching and research in entrepreneurship and related-synergistic fields such as technology entrepreneurship, design, entrepreneurial strategic thinking, marketing etc.

    • Research interests in the area of entrepreneurship broadly defined.

    • Strong research skills and potential for scholarly research as demonstrated by working papers, presentations in academic conferences and/or publications in peer reviewed journals.

    • Demonstrated potential to be an effective teacher.

    • Willingness to interact with the business community.

    • Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college's continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
