Dear Colleagues
I would like to invite you, your colleagues and Ph.D. students to attend and participate in the 2014 Technology Transfer Conference hosted by the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and the Technology Transfer Society. The conference will be held October 23-25 in Baltimore, Md.
As you know, there are many challenges to bringing scientific discoveries and new technologies to market. The Technology Transfer Conference will explore the latest research in translational science by examining all aspects of the translation process. Seventy papers and 4 keynotes will discuss theoretical and empirical models to better understand the factors affecting organizational structures and processes, accounting and financial reporting, macro-environmental, and policies and governance arrangements that in turn affect discovery translation.
The conference will result in two publications; a special issue of the Journal of Technology Transfer and a volume entitled, "Translational Science," part of the Johns Hopkins Series on Entrepreneurship, published by Edward Elgar, UK.
