Dear colleagues,
In case you just came back from AoM I hope you are now full of new, fresh ideas that you want to bring Down Under – and that you will find time to read this message! Again, this is not one of these obscure conference announcements you receive all the time; this is about a conference you may want to consider, not least for the following reasons:
1. A very strong group of invited international "stars" in key roles. This year we can boast David Audretsch; Patricia McDougall; Dean Shepherd, David Storey and – as new addition since my last email Tom Lumpkin!
2. A highly developmental format throughout, and in particular for those who opt for a "Paper Development Session". In these you get comprehensive feedback from peers who have read your paper as well as from your chair, who will be a highly experienced and recognized international researcher (including the above five people and myself). The conference also features a doctoral consortium, a policy forum and a special session planned on business model design and reconfiguration.
3. The conference is completely devoted to entrepreneurship scholarship and its size is manageable; some 100-150 participants, making for a very enjoyable experience
4. If you're from the Northern hemisphere, February is a very good time to go...somewhere else, like Australia.
5. Acceptance is based on extended abstracts, so even though the deadline is only days away (August 5) you certainly can make it.
More info below and on the conference website, which also features raving testimonials from participants in earlier editions (down the right hand 'column').
Welcome to Australia and Adelaide in February!
Best Regards,
Per

Featuring high-calibre researchers and research users from across the nation and throughout the world, it's a stand-out fixture on the academic and professional development calendar.
The 2015 Conference, to be held at the stately North Terrace campus of the research-intensive University of Adelaide from February 3 – 6, will be no exception. So if you have some exciting research to share with the world, this is your chance to shine.
Of particular note for 2015, we have a special session planned on business model design and reconfiguration, to be run in conjunction with the Conference.
As in previous years, of course, there will also be a wide range of other highly informative and stimulating sessions, including:
- Keynote addresses from pre-eminent scholars around the globe
- Paper presentations and development workshops
- Lively networking and social functions PLUS bonus Policy Forum for early registrants
This is an outstanding opportunity to extract even greater value from your attendance at the 2015 ACERE Conference.
A limited number of early registrants will have the option of participating in an additional one-day pre-conference Policy Forum on Entrepreneurship, Ecosystems and Regional Development at no extra charge.
The Forum will feature keynote presentations from leading academics Professor David Audretsch and Professor David Storey on the greatest challenges affecting policy in this area, and how they might be resolved. The morning session will focus on local issues, using the growing Adelaide Entrepreneurial Ecosystem movement as a case study, before moving on to international perspectives in the afternoon.
Spirited interactive engagement will be sought from the floor throughout.
Abstract submissions are open now and will close on Monday 11 August 2014.
