Greetings,

  There are still a few spots remaining in the Entrepreneurship Division's Mid-Career Consortium.  This exciting event is designed to help Entrepreneurship scholars who have recently earned promotion and tenure, or who are applying this year, develop a strategy for actively managing the next stage of their careers. The consortium is designed to be highly interactive and features leading Entrepreneurship scholars who will help their colleagues understand career path options in Entrepreneurship and how to design a strategy to achieve each individual's goals. 

  Topics that will be covered in the consortium include:

• The nature of the post-tenure career management and getting past the post-tenure ennui that some scholars face.

•  Developing your post tenure research stream and Entrepreneurship Chairs (types of chairs available, preparing yourself for a chair and finding a chair). 

• Leading in Academe- Managing the leadership positions that come with tenure such as accepting administrative roles (department, college, university, journal editorship etc.), pioneering entrepreneurship programs/departments/schools, developing/running entrepreneurship centers, producing edited books, promoting your work, and advancing to full.

• The Global Entrepreneur Scholar - Post tenure opportunities and challenges globally as well as on helping mid-career faculty in the US plan for global opportunities post-tenure (e.g., Fulbright opportunities and making use of sabbaticals).

• The Entrepreneur Teacher - would focus on helping entrepreneurship faculty become stronger entrepreneurship teachers. It could potentially cover topics such as: identifying strong entrepreneurship cases, case method of teaching for entrepreneurship, techniques for teaching core entrepreneurship principles.
