    Faculty Position in Strategy

The Management and Organization (MOR) Department at the USC-Marshall School of Business seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members in strategy, to begin in Fall 2015. We welcome applications from candidates at all ranks. We seek candidates who are, or have the potential to become, leading scholars on topics relevant to strategy and organizations, including but not limited to innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, alliances and outsourcing.  We are also looking for displayed capability in teaching.

The MOR department is interdisciplinary; our 26 tenured/tenure-track faculty members span organizational behavior, organization theory and strategy and have a variety of backgrounds including psychology, sociology, economics and general management/strategy. In the strategy area, research interests are broad and faculty complement publishing in management and strategy journals with publications in discipline journals. We are open to all kinds of methods and approaches. We seek scholars who want to engage in a multi-disciplinary group and can focus on core strategy questions, preferably with some foundation in economics but this is not required. We are seeking faculty who want to engage the strategy community, but publications in discipline journals are also valued. Our faculty teaches courses at the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D. and executive levels. Please visit http://www.marshall.usc.edu/MOR for more information about faculty research and publications. Internal funding for research is generous.

Interested candidates should submit an electronic application by going to http://jobs.usc.edu/postings/27365. At that site, you will be asked to upload several documents identified by the following names:

Other: please create one pdf file containing at least two, and preferably three, representative research papers, and upload.

All materials must be received on or before October 17, 2014.

Salary is dependent on qualifications, and employee benefits for full-time faculty are excellent.

Minimum qualifications: Doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in an appropriate area of study; no experience is specifically required although consideration may be given to candidates with experience teaching at the college/university level and/or who can demonstrate evidence of research competence.

The University of Southern California values diversity in its entire faculty and is committed to equal opportunity in employment.  Women, men, and members of all racial and ethnic groups are encouraged to apply.
