The purpose of this workshop is to provide a platform for the knowledge transfer among researchers familiar with Bayesian statistics related to specific emerging issues of research design, research execution, and communication of research results. Presentations will introduce and illustrate some of these issues, such as (1) development of meaningful prior distributions, (2) alternative approaches to calculating of posterior distributions and interpreting results for causal inference, and (3) how to communicate Bayesian analyses and results in research manuscripts. Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss their own experiences related to these emerging topics. In addition, the workshop will allow participants to propose additional topics for discussion. The key feature of the workshop is the stimulation and interactive discussion with and among workshop participants. The purpose of this workshop is to enhance the ability of Bayesian researchers to develop and implement high-quality practices on how to design, execute and communicate their research.
