    Dear ENTREP colleagues,

For those of you who are interesting in open innovation and related fields, please join our PDW on "Researching Open Innovation: Theoretical and Empirical Approaches at Different Levels of Analysis" at the upcoming Academy of Management Meeting. Our session is #110 in the program, and will take place on Friday, August 1, 2014, 12:30PM - 3:00PM, at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Room 120 C. See http://bit.ly/1qnxKHz for the official program listing.

In short, we have a great set of experts who will share their insights about where we are and where we need to go in terms of open innovation research with ample time for interaction with the audience through roundtable discussions, a plenary discussion, and some networking at the end. The main themes and people are listed in the online program but this is roughly which themes different facilitators will focus on:
    • Individuals (intra-organizational): Lars Frederiksen & Ann Majchrzak
    • Entrepreneurship (organizational): Marc Gruber & Satish Nambisan
    • Organizing (organizational): John Ettlie & Kathrin Moeslein
    • Business models (organizational): Dries Faems & Stefan Haefliger
    • Users & Consumers (extra-organizational): Frank Piller & Ian McCarthy
    • Networks & Communities (extra-organizational): Linus Dahlander & Mats Magnusson
    • Ecosystems (inter-organizational): Sabine Brunswicker & Anabelle Gawer
    • Crowdsourcing & Crowdfunding (inter-organizational): Allan Afuah & Cristina Rossi-Lamastra
    • Contingencies (industry / regional): John Hagedoorn & Anne ter Wal
    • Social aspects (society): Esteve Almirall & Dennis Hilgers
I hope to see many of you at our PDW on Friday, August 1 at 13:30PM! Also, please do get in touch if you have any further questions or suggestions about researching open innovation!

    Best,
    Marcel
