Faculty Position in Entrepreneurship

                BUTLER UNIVERSITY seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position  in the College's Entrepreneurship & Innovation program. The position starts August 2015 and the standard teaching load is nine credit hours per semester with release time available based on research productivity. Candidates should have some experience and expertise in teaching entrepreneurship and general business, with particular emphasis on experiential delivery models.  A willingness to teach online is also desired.  

                The College enrolls all first-year students in a business plan course that serves as a vehicle for introducing students to business fundamentals and generates excitement for further study. All second-year students enroll in a more advanced business plan course that often results in the creation of a business enterprise complete with funding and potentially operation of the business.  In the MBA program, all students enroll in a course on the entrepreneurial mindset.  The successful candidate will be a mainstay teaching in some of these programs, as well as be called on to teach undergraduate electives in the newly created Entrepreneurship & Innovation major. 

                Candidates should have or be near completion of the Ph.D. They should also be qualified to teach in entrepreneurship, and to do so in an experiential manner.  Candidates who have been active entrepreneurs will be preferred.  Applicants must provide evidence that they will be excellent teachers, committed to working with a diverse population of students. They must also show that they will be productive researchers and display an interest in vigorous interaction with the business community.
