Developing Great Entrepreneurship Educators --- Experiential Classroom at UF

Entrepreneurship education is unique both in what is taught and how it is taught.  As demand for entrepreneurship courses continues to grow, many universities are experiencing difficulties both in staffing courses and ensuring the quality, rigor, and substance of these courses.  Academic areas from both inside and outside the business school struggle with these issues. But how do faculty members learn the latest tools and approaches being employed by leading educators?

The Experiential Classroom is a clinic that seeks to address these needs. The clinic is in its 15th year and is dedicated to sharing leading-edge teaching practices and enhancing teaching skills. More than 900 faculty members  from around the world have attended over the past 14 years.

The Experiential Classroom XV will be offered at the University of Florida in Gainesville from September 18-21, 2014. The clinic is taught over an intensive three day period, and is delivered by twenty-three of the top entrepreneurship educators in the world. It is a content rich program, and introduces a number of highly effective, state-of-the-art approaches to the teaching of entrepreneurship and building of entrepreneurship programs. Its success is tied to a commitment to an experiential approach both in its subject matter and innovative delivery methods.

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and is limited to seventy delegates. The program is co-sponsored by USASBE, and a number of USASBE partial scholarships are available.  To apply go to http://warrington.ufl.edu/centers/cei/experiential/.  For more information, contact Michael Morris at 352-273-0329 or michael.morris@warrington.ufl.edu  or Katherine Burk at 352-273-0331.
