    DEVELOPING THE MANAGEMENT STUDIES COMMUNITY

    CALL FOR FUNDING APPLICATIONS

SAMS (The Society for the Advancement of Management Studies) invites applications twice yearly in January and July for funding to support events or activities that benefit the management studies community in general. Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the development of doctoral students and/or early career academics. Please complete the application form and, when doing so, please make it clear how the SAMS funds will be used and how they will result in demonstrable additional benefits to the management studies community. We will consider applications for repeat funding in exceptional cases only, and where the applicants are able to clearly demonstrate the impact SAMS funding had on their previous event. SAMS normally expects to part-fund activities (i.e. there should be other sources of support) to a maximum of £10,000. Please note that these funds are for workshops and events, not to fund research projects, individual pieces of research, or staff costs.

The deadline for the latest round of applications is 1st July, 2014. Proposals received after the closing date cannot be considered until the January 2015 round.

Informal enquiries are welcome to either:

Richard Thorpe, Chair of SAMS: R.Thorpe@lubs.leeds.ac.uk

    Margaret Turner, SAMS Administrator: business.jms@durham.ac.uk

Please email applications to Margaret Turner (business.jms@durham.ac.uk) by 16.00 BST by the 1st July, 2014.
