    Dear Colleagues,

I am currently working on a research study that would require the use of nested models to analyse the results. I would be grateful if you can let me know of some articles that have employed nested models in their study. It is my first time using this technique so some sample studies can help me know how to structure my discussion.

    Muhammad:

The following two articles have good information about the application of HLM to test nested models:

Bacharach, S. B., Bamberger, P. A., & Doveh, E. (2008). Firefighters, critical incidents, and drinking to cope: The adequacy of unit-level performance resources as a source of vulnerability and protection. Journal of Applied Psychology, 93: 155–169.

Bauer, D. J., Preacher, K. J. & Gil, K. M. (2006). Conceptualizing and testing random indirect effects and moderated mediation in multilevel models: New procedures and recommendations. Psychological Methods, 11, 142-163.
