    Dear Entrepreneurship Colleagues:

My friend, Pete Eimer, of D'Youville College, is organizing an event for teen entrepreneurs hosted by the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh on May 23-25. It's the SAGE USA National Tournament. Pete is also the Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow at D'Youville, which makes him part of the Enactus/SIFE organization.

Yesterday, he sent an email out to some contacts affiliated with Enactus/SIFE (see below). As you can see, his students have apparently lost interest in Enactus/SIFE, and he is now encouraging them to become mentors/coaches to innovative teens who start their own social or commercial enterprises. If you are based in the Pittsburgh area, or know friends and colleagues there, please forward this note to them. For more information, have them contact Pete at pce666@aol.com or 716-880-7311.

    All my best,

    Curt

    Pete Eimer's Email:

    Hello,

    I
am a Sam Walton Fellow (at D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY).Over the past 10 years, our D'Youville SIFE team reached the finals (top 20 teams) 3 times, but recently my college students have lost interest in SIFE/ENACTUS and have had a better experience becoming mentors to high school students in SAGE.

I have been involved with SAGE for about 8 years and am now (volunteer) CEO of SAGE USA.

If you haven't already, you can go to www.sageglobal.org to learn more about SAGE and the wonderful work that high school students in the USA and around the world are doing in the areas of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship.

Would you be interested in seeing SAGE in-person by being a judge at the SAGE USA national competition May 23-25? The University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business is hosting this "tournament". We offer free room and board for judges.

This would be a great opportunity to learn about SAGE and then possibly establish SAGE in your state next Fall.

Please call me with any questions 716-880-7311.
