    EAM Early Career Award Applications

    The Eastern Academy of Management is currently seeking applications for a
    new Early Career Award. The EAM early career award aims to recognize
    research excellence of faculty members who have completed their Ph.D. within
    the past six years. The application deadline is March 22, 2014. Please see
    below for details.

    Criteria for the EAM Early Career Award:
    The EAM Early Career Award recognizes scholarly research that has made or
    promises to make a significant contribution to the field of management.
    Research contributions will be judged based on the theoretical and practical
    impact on the field of management, including the quality of the research and
    its implications for positively affecting management practice. The ability
    of the research to provide meaningful answers to important areas of
    management inquiry will also be evaluated. Candidates must be in good
    standing at their academic institution and be pre-tenure, and if not a
    current EAM member express willingness to become engaged in the EAM
    community of scholars.

    Application Materials:
    1). A 2-page CV
    2). A 500 word summary of the candidate’s scholarly contributions and their
    impact during the period since completing their Ph.D.
    3). Proof of the Ph.D. degree (with date).

    Award:
    Winners will receive a $400 cash prize and free registration for the 2014
    annual meeting. Winners will also receive free annual meeting registration
    in 2015 and the opportunity to present at EAM’s doctoral consortium held in
    conjunction with the conference. Awards will be presented at the annual EAM
    conference. Winners will be notified in advance although they must be
    present at the conference to receive the award.

    Application Deadline:
