The School of Management at the University of Bath seeks to make several new appointments in strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and international management. The professorial appointment is specifically targeted in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation. These appointments follow the University's recent strategic investment in these areas, building up a significant research and teaching profile. Over the past two years, nine new faculty members have joined the University of Bath to strengthen this group, and greatly expand its course offerings in this area. The new appointments will build on this strong momentum.
The post holders will be based in the Strategy and International Management (SIM) group, which includes Julia Balogun, Panos Desyllas, Dimo Dimov, Orietta Marsili, Michael Mayer, Christos Pitelis, Ammon Salter, and Edmund Thompson among its faculty. It publishes its research in leading general management outlets, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies and Academy of Management Review, but also core strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and international business outlets, such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Research Policy, and Journal of International Business Studies. Members of the group are active contributors to the academic community: editing journals, taking up leadership positions in professional bodies, and supporting and training new researchers.
The University of Bath is situated on a modern campus surrounded by attractive countryside overlooking the centre of Bath, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage City, famous for its Georgian architecture, and its annual literature and music festivals. It is a safe and friendly campus with strong student services and excellent sports facilities. Bath is located 100 miles west of London and is easily accessible by air, road and rail.
