Opportunity for Students to Practice Entrepreneurship Globally

    Good evening -

I am working on a pilot / lean approach to connecting groups of students around the world to work on turning ideas into businesses. The basic idea is this:

    1. Each school creates a "pod" that consists of 5-6 students and 1-2 entrepreneurs
    2. Students submit ideas for new businesses at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/hugeideas.
    3. Once submissions have closed, we will vote on ideas.
    4. The ideas that receive the most votes are the ones that students collaborate on. Each group at each school doesn't have to work on one idea, it's a personal choice. So 2 of your students might work on idea A and 3 of your students might work on idea B.
    5. We will use whatever technology is best for the students. We can do Skype, Google Hangouts, Google docs, whatever works best.
    6. The goal is to create real business solutions, to start real businesses. Or least to proceed as far as possible toward that goal.
    7. Students can use the Idea Modeling toosl to work on developing impactful ideas (http://theinnographer.com/toolkit/idea-modeling/) and then work on developing a business model around that idea, and then commercializing the idea

The point here is to see how far groups of students from around the world can proceed through the new venture creation process with very little resources. If all goes well, I want to expand this program to any school that is interested, and to as many students as are interested.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I appreciate each of you and your efforts on behalf of your students. This is a phenomenal opportunity for students to learn about entrepreneurship, collaboration, and cultural intelligence, among many other things. And more importantly, it's a great opportunity for them to practice entrepreneurship.

Please confirm that you'll participate in this. If so, please provide contact information for your "pod" (students and entrepreneurs) so I can keep track of everyone involved.
