Medals for Research on Development (Medals) for exceptional completed research papers by citizens of developing countries and transition economies in any of the three research sub-themes given below. Medal winners will receive monetary grants.
Deadline for submitting abstracts: 6 March, 2014
Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project (MIDP) for development projects proposals being executed in the field with the ability to scale up their work through a grant.
First Prize: US$ 30,000; Second Prize: US$ 10,000; Third Prize: US$ 5,000
Winners are also eligible to compete under Japan Social Development Fund for a grant of up to US$ 200,000 for their work.

Competition Research Sub- Themes:
(1) Determinants of growth, industrial and trade policies
(2) Environmental sustainability, management of natural resources and structural transformations
(3) Political, institutional, social and governance transformations
