    Dear Entrepreneurship Colleagues:

We enthusiastically invite interested scholars to be part of a selected symposium of international academics actively researching entrepreneurial pedagogy and training delivery.  This intensive exploration is scheduled to take place June 3-4, 2014 at the Odette School of Business in Windsor, Ontario. A number of prominent entrepreneurship scholars have already agreed to attend.

Some support, in terms of accommodation, may be available upon request.

Discussion and presentations will be video-taped and proceedings assembled in an interactive electronic form with abstracts, photos and clicks to live presentations. This will be made public on the Odette website with links to participating researchers' websites.

    Proposed Symposium Schedule:

The symposium will begin June 3, 2014 in the afternoon, with presentations and discussion on the topic of "Toward developing an expert panel on the content of entrepreneurship education". In this set of sessions, key informants will discuss developing and testing theoretical and epistemological frameworks that inform the content and delivery of entrepreneurship education.  Leading scholars will discuss what we should we teach, how we should teach it, and why. Networking and discussion will continue over dinner, with a view of the Detroit waterfront.

The following morning (June 4) will focus upon the measurable outcomes of entrepreneurship education. The goal will be to discuss specific measurement outcomes in order to provide relative success metrics for entrepreneurial programming. Our focus shifts to behavioral outcomes, as opposed to intentions and attitudes. Thus, the discussions June 4 will primarily center on adequate measures for longitudinal analysis. The symposium will conclude with lunch and complementary transportation to London, Ontario.

    Symposium Location:

The Odette School of Business (OSB) is located at the University of Windsor. The City of Windsor, Ontario is located on the Detroit River, directly across from Detroit, Michigan. Windsor is a 30 minute drive from Detroit-Wayne State Airport (DTW) and a 3 hour drive from Pearson Airport in Toronto, Canada.   Participants may make their own travel plans to arrive in Windsor, Toronto, or Detroit by air, car, or train.  There are direct flights and trains from Toronto to Windsor.   We are pleased to arrange one night complementary accommodation at Caesars Windsor, and your meals are included during the conference.

Windsor is a 2 hour drive from London, Ontario, and we will arrange for complimentary transportation to London for researchers attending the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC) conference at the Ivey School of Business June 4-8, 2014.

We hope you will be able to join this interesting and exciting opportunity to exchange research ideas with international experts in entrepreneurial pedagogy!  Please advise by April 15, 2014, whether you plan to attend, and if you require assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Benson and Francine
