The Department of Management and Organizations at The University of Iowa invites applicants for multiple tenured positions in Strategy/Technology & Innovation Management/Entrepreneurship. Full and Associate ranks will be considered, with a preference toward Full Professor candidates. Appointment at Associate or Full levels will be based on experience and record of achievement. Fellowships and professorships may be available. New hires are expected to start by August 19, 2015, but could begin as early as January 14, 2015.
Qualifications: Applicants must have 1) an earned Ph.D. in Management or a related field; 2) an established record or demonstrated potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals; and 3) a demonstrated high level of teaching competence at the MBA level. Applicants must be capable of teaching Strategic Management, Technology and Innovation Management and\or Entrepreneurship at the MBA level (Executive/Fulltime/Part-time) and working actively with doctoral students. A demonstrated competence in teaching in any of the following additional areas is also desirable: technology and innovation management, change management, entrepreneurship, negotiations, organizational theory (Ph.D. level).

Department: The Management & Organizations department has 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, 2 clinical professors, and 9 Lecturers in the areas of Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Business Law. The department offers undergraduate majors in Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, and Entrepreneurial Management. The department is known for its excellence in research and teaching. Faculty members in the department regularly serve as editors of major journals in the field (including former editors of Academy of Management Journal [AMJ] and Academy of Management Learning and Education, a current Associate Editor at AMJ, and several former Associate Editors at Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management). Faculty members have won numerous top research awards, and maintain leadership positions in multiple divisions of the Academy of Management. The department has also been recognized for teaching effectiveness, with numerous collegiate and University teaching awards. Department members work actively with doctoral students in research and publishing activities. The department also houses the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, the first in the nation to bring together students and faculty in engineering, business, and the medical sciences. Our undergraduate program has been recognized as a National Model Program by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, the university is regularly rated as one of the top 25 entrepreneurship programs in the United States by Entrepreneur Magazine and The Princeton Review. College and Community: The Henry B. Tippie College of Business is housed in the John Pappajohn Business Building, which features the Marvin A.
