Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference
May 20-23, 2014 – Denver, Colorado
The Sustainability, Ethics, and Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference is fueled by diverse disciplines studying sustainability, social entrepreneurship, business ethics, firm-community ties, and environmental impacts. This sharing of scholarly research is the foundation of the annual SEE Conference; a platform to advance cutting-edge research, ideas, and theories in a collaborative environment. The 2014 SEE Conference includes two events.
1. Professional Development Workshop (PDW) May 20–22
Hosted by the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ), in cooperation with SEE's organizers, the PDW is designed to meet the needs of later stage doctoral students and those who begin their careers as assistant professors. The event features roundtable workshops, interactions with SEJ's editorial team members, keynote addresses from senior scholars, and paper development sessions to assist young scholars in transforming their technically competent research into highly impactful manuscripts.
Applications are due by January 31, 2014.
2. Academic Research Conference (ARC) May 22–23
The ARC begins Thursday, May 22, with a cocktail reception and poster presentations, followed by dinner and a keynote address from Bill Ritter Jr. (Colorado's 41st governor and the current Director of the Center for the New Energy Economy). Friday, May 23, features the latest scholarly work from around the world delivered by contributors in presentation sessions and keynote speakers Jakki Mohr (Regents Professor of Marketing and Rosemary and William Gallagher Distinguished Faculty Fellow at the University of Montana-Missoula), and Marshall Schminke (BB&T Professor of Business Ethics at the University of Central Florida).
We invite submission of empirical and conceptual Abstracts. We are particularly interested in radical, controversial, and "edgy" projects; novel, useful, and non-obvious research that challenges dogmas and is highly revelatory. Authors of accepted abstracts may be invited to publish their papers in an edited volume by World Scientific Publishing (Don Siegel, Editor-In-Chief; Gideon Markman, Volume Editor).
Abstracts are due by January 22, 2014
