Chairperson, Associate Professor/Professor, Department of Management
Tenure-track faculty position available July 1, 2015.
Responsibilities: as Chairperson, serve as the department's primary spokesperson and representative to the college, university, and external community; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in human resource management, organizational behavior, or related area; conduct scholarly research and publish results of research in leading academic and professional publications; actively contribute professional service to the department, college, university, and surrounding community.
Minimum qualifications: terminal degree in one of the program areas (or related area) of the department; evidence of leadership and communication skills; demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with the rank of associate or full professor level; evidence of effective team building skills.
Preferred qualifications: earned Ph.D. degree in human resource management, organizational behavior, or related area; previously tenured and experience as a department chair or center director or equivalent leadership position; experience with budgeting, resource management, and new technologies; experience in writing and directing grants; skills in short- and long-range strategic planning; demonstrated skills in hiring, supervising, evaluating, and promoting faculty and staff; demonstrable commitment to diversity and fund raising.
