The College of Business at the University of New Haven invites highly innovative and energetic candidates to apply for the position of Chair of Management at the associate/full professor level for the 2014-2015 academic year. The candidate's background should include teaching and research in at least two of the following management areas: leadership, international/comparative management, global strategy and sustainability.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
1. Earned doctorate in Business Administration, Management or related area (Ph.D., DBA) from an internationally recognized and accredited institution (AASCB or equivalent).
2. Evidence of collegial leadership and collaboration, knowledge of assessment/assurance of learning, and engagement in experiential learning for students.
3. Strong evidence of research and prominent independent scholarly activities (among them at least one single author or lead author article in a nationally recognized journal) at the associate professor level.
4. Evidence of significant, high quality teaching and experiential education experiences.
5. Strong evidence of innovative curriculum development and student recruitment at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Chair is expected to lead the Department of Management and its faculty, engage in student advising and make profound contributions to students' learning and professional development. The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Teaching load, research support and salary are at the competitive level with schools similar to UNH.
