    The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to hire one or more tenured or tenure track faculty member in strategic management to begin August 2014 with the College of Business Administration (CBA), subject to final budget approval. UIC is a major research university located near the heart of Chicago's business community, just minutes from the downtown Loop and Lake Michigan. UIC is situated on a 240-acre campus and is the largest university in Chicago, with over 27,000 students, and the most diverse in the Midwest. The CBA at UIC is the largest provider of undergraduate business education in Chicago. We also have full-time, evening, and Saturday MBA programs, two specialized master's programs in accounting and information sciences, as well as four PhD programs (OB/HR, Marketing, MIS, Business Statistics). The CBA is AACSB accredited with 2,200 undergraduate, 700 MBA and 40 Ph.D. students. The undergraduate business program is ranked #1 in Chicago (U.S. New and World Report), the entrepreneurship programs are in the top 25 nationally (Princeton Review), and the interdisciplinary product development curriculum is an AACSB-award winner.     Duties:

    To be considered for this position, applicants should have an earned doctorate or have made significant progress in completing their dissertation research in strategic management or a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants who have been lead author on one or more peer-reviewed publications, and who demonstrate the ability to publish in highly regarded scientific management journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management. Requirements include an earned doctorate in management or a related discipline, research publications commensurate with rank, and evidence of teaching excellence and commitment to service. Salary will be competitive with leading public research universities.
