PDW Description: Innovation ecosystems emerging around platforms are pervasive in today's business landscape. While this specific context, characterized by multi-sided market economics, offers incredible opportunities for research in different areas, including business model innovation, competitive strategy & industry architecture, and value creation / value appropriation on both supply and demand side, scholarship has struggled to respond to these opportunities. Our aim is to bring together interested scholars to discuss both the 'state of the art' knowledge on the topic and the most promising research areas in the form of a panel discussion followed by a round table session.
