Hi everyone,
You have only 2 more days to send a 900 word abstract to http://acereconference.com/
This one will be hosted by UNSW in beautiful Sydney, Australia in early Feb.
Per has organized some amazing scholars for the workshops, too.
All the best,
Martin

Subject: [ENTREP] CALL FOR ABSTRACTS NOW OPEN -- The developmental ACERE conference
Welcome to the 2014 ACERE Conference!
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS NOW OPEN
ACERE aims to be a highly developmental professional experience for all participants. The conference features paper presentation sessions as well as a paper development workshop; a doctoral consortium; social events, and keynote addresses by international top scholars. For the 2014 ACERE we plan to build on the interactivity of sessions and significantly increase the number of papers assigned to intense "paper development sessions" (PDS) chaired by internationally leading names in entrepreneurship research. These sessions, which build on positive experiences from ACE's annual "Paper Development Bootcamp" http://blog.bus.qut.edu.au/acer/ace-bootcamp/ , devote 40 minutes face-to-face time in discussion format plus written reviews by peers as well as by the international expert session chair.
The 2014 ACERE conference will be held in Sydney, Australia from 4 February to 7 February 2014. February is the summer break in the southern hemisphere and is a particularly good time to escape cold weather conditions for our northern hemisphere colleagues.
The website http://acereconference.com/ is now open for abstract submissions and will close on 20 August 2013. Make sure you get your place on the program by submitting asap! ACERE is the annual, Australian-based research conference dedicated to entrepreneurship. The conference welcomes researchers and research users from Australia and all over the world. ACERE is short for "Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange".
To get an idea of the calibre of people who lead keynote and paper development sessions at ACERE, consider this list of prior examples from ACERE (and its predecessor) and the ACE bootcamp: David Audretsch, Zoltan Acs, Ted Baker, Candy Brush, Sara Carter, Michael Frese, Patti Greene, Gerard George, Benson Honig, Dev Jennings, Jen Jennings, Tom Lumpkin, Patricia McDougall, Mike Peng, Harry Sapienza, Saras Sarasvathy, Dean Shepherd, Justin Tan and Johan Wiklund. Some of these and a few others of the same calibre will be prepared to give you developmental advice at ACERE 2014, whether you are a novice or an experienced scholar yourself.
The 2014 conference program will again feature a Policy Forum and possibly other adjacent events of interest to entrepreneurship scholars as well. Registration fees are set at AUD $950 (AUD $550 for students) and the registration portal will open during August.
Making all of this happen requires sponsors and if you're interested in sponsoring a session or partnering with ACERE please visit the sponsorship and partnership page for more information.
Admission to the conference is based on extended abstracts, with full papers due by 4 November 2013. The website is now open for abstract submissions with a deadline of 20 August 2013. http://acereconference.com/abstract-submission-guidelines/
If you have any questions about the abstract submission process, please contact the Conference management team on 07 3368 3511 or email acereconference@qut.edu.au
