Please know that our school's support for research has been a terrific surprise to me. My 2013 started at AoM Africa, I am writing this email from ICSB in Puerto Rico, and I have just planned an August trip to present at a microfinance conference in New Delhi, stopping in Mongolia to investigate Base of the Pyramid opportunities on the way back. This is not to say that I am lavished with travel funding. I just wanted to explain that if you have an active research agenda that is meaningful to you and the world, please do not let the 'applied' nature of this posting and our small, young university keep you from applying.
Oh, and a final warning about occupational hazards. There are peacocks, bears, cougars and several ghosts on our 565 acre old growth campus. I have also scratched my foot slightly while putting in my kayak outside of the school's development office (in the boat house on the straight of Juan De Fuca, 12 miles from the Olympic National Park in Washington State).
