Check Your Paper Submissions Carefully!

  • 1.  Check Your Paper Submissions Carefully!

    All:

While checking in papers for the ENT Division, we’ve found that about 20%
have to be returned to their authors for revisions. Because of the rush to
meet the January 15 deadline, we anticipate that several hundred papers
will be submitted on that date or a day or two before. We will most likely
not be able to return papers for revisions and those that do not meet the
guidelines may end up being rejected. Please take the time to read the
paper submission guidelines that can be found at the following link.

    http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/scholarly/guidelines/

Some of the most common errors are:
    Author’s name on paper submission
    Missing title
    Missing abstract
    Missing page numbers
Missing submission number (must be in the header on all pages)
Paper is too long (40 page limit)

The TWO MOST IMPORTANT errors are the first and last listed above: 1.
having a title (or other) page with any of the author information on it,
and 2. having a paper in excess of 40 pages. Fix these and other errors
before submitting the paper or you run the risk of its not being accepted
    for review at all!

For your convenience, the following link will take you to the AOM
    submission system:
