I would like to circulate the below position to the ENT list

    Best wishes

    Dr Jean Clarke

    Associate Professor
    Leeds University Business School.

    Job Summary

Faculty of Business, Leeds University Business School (LUBS), United Kingdom.

Research Fellow for project: "The language and body language of entrepreneurs: How verbal and non-verbal metaphors are used to persuade investors to fund new ventures"

    Fixed Term Contract: 18 Months

The post holder will be involved with an ESRC funded three year research project based at Leeds University Business School. The project focuses on how entrepreneurs use persuasive language and body language (in particular hand gestures) when communicating with investors in order to make a venture seem legitimate when seeking financial support. The project is inter-disciplinary in nature and draws on techniques from cognitive linguistics and experimental psychology.

A focus on body language is a new and exciting emerging field in entrepreneurship and management. This post offers an opportunity for an early career researcher to develop skills across a range of research methods and contribute to a cutting edge area of research. The project is being led by Dr Jean Clarke who you will work closely with to collect, analyse data and write up research publications.

You will have a PhD (or be close to obtaining one) or have equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
