    Happy New Year!

    The 1st Family Enterprise Case Competition (FECC) is underway! Hosted by the School of Business Administration @ the University of Vermont, FECC is the 1st case competition in the world focused exclusively on family enterprise cases.

    FECC QUICK FACTS:

    * 16 student teams will be competing for the UVM Family Enterprise Cup and $2,500. Division winners receive $1000 per team.
    * Teams are coming from Argentina, Canada (3), Chile, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and USA (5)

    55 individuals will be serving on 21 panels filling 94 judging spots
    * Each judging panel is a mix of family enterprise owner/managers; Advisors/service providers; Educators / scholars,
    * FECC judges are coming from CT, GA, IN, MA, MI, NH, NY, OH, VI, VT - United States; MB and QC in Canada; and Germany
    * Cases used for FECC were generated through the 2012 FECC Case Writing Competition.
    * Author of each case used in FECC will receive $ 2,000.
    Today, the competitors received the first pre-arrival case. Presentations based on this case will be held on 9 Jan.
    Competition extends from 9-12 Jan. The pre-arrival case is followed by 3 hour prep time cases on 10, 11, 12 Jan.
