Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship

Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, an AACSB accredited Jesuit/Catholic University, invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship beginning in the Fall of 2014. The position entails teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels in the field of Entrepreneurship, with preference given to those who have a secondary field of Leadership or Organizational Behavior (other areas, commensurate with our department domains, will be considered). Our Entrepreneurship program has been consistently nationally ranked and is positioned for further growth. With close ties to Cincinnati's business community, our Sedler Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation provides education, training, and real-life business experiences to create, launch, sustain, and grow student and community-run businesses.  Its annual Xavier Launch-a-Business competition identifies and supports entrepreneurs with promising ideas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to have an impact on the evolving direction(s) of our program.

Xavier faculty are expected to be excellent and innovative teachers and active scholars engaging in individual and collaborative research activity leading to publication in quality outlets: so we are looking for candidates with accomplishments and/or strong potential in both teaching and scholarship. Candidates must hold a PhD degree in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field, or have the firm expectation of completing their PhD prior to the start of the Fall 2014 semester. The ideal candidate will also have practical business experience. Salary will be competitive.
