    Dear Colleagues,

    Please take notice of the call for applications for
    the 3rd edition of the IRI Summer School in Management.
    This year’s topic is Entrepreneurship in High-Tech Industries and it will
    take place from the 11th till the 16th of June in Volterra (a beautiful
    Medioeval town in Tuscany).

    The school is open for application to highly talented PhD students/post
    docs and young researchers in Management.

    The School will provide full-board accomodation for selected applicants.

    Subject: Fondazione IRI Summer School on “Individual and Corporate
    Entrepreneurship in High-Tech Industries”

    Fondazione IRI (www.fondazioneiri.it) is pleased to announce the
    organization of the Third Summer School in Management Studies for doctoral
    students and young researchers in business and managerial studies.

    Over the past three years, the Fondazione IRI Summer School has become a
    regular appointment to promote cutting edge international research and
    teaching in management studies.
    The title of the 2006 edition is “Individual and Corporate
    Entrepreneurship in High-Tech Industries”.

    Among others, the following lecturers have confirmed their participation:

    • Gino Cattani (New York University)
    • Bart Clarysse (Vlerick Leuven Gent School of Management)
    • Raghu Garud (Penn State University)
    • David Hsu (University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School)
    • Elaine Romanelli (Georgetown University)
    • Philip Shapira (School of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of
    Technology)

    The School is coordinated by Prof. Andrea PICCALUGA (Sant’Anna School of
    Advanced Studies, Pisa) and Prof. Simone FERRIANI (University of
    Cambridge).

    The 2006 Summer School will begin on Sunday, June 11 with a welcome dinner
    and will finish on the afternoon of Friday, June 16, with a roundtable
    discussion with technology transfer experts and top managers from leading
    high tech firms.

    The venue of the 2006 Summer School is the International School for
    Advanced Education (SIAF) http://www.siafvolterra.it/en/index.php located
    in Volterra, a beautiful town in the heart of Tuscany, Italy.

    There is no participation-fee and Fondazione IRI will provide full-board
    accommodation for selected candidates. However participants will be
    responsible to cover their travel expenses to and from Volterra.

    The official language of the School is English.
