THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI DOCTORATE IN MANAGEMENT

The doctoral program in management offers advanced preparation to students interested in pursuing academic positions at major universities.  The program provides a solid foundation in the theoretical and empirical literature of the field, and ensures students are equipped with the skills necessary for conducting innovative research.  The curriculum is also designed to help students develop teaching excellence.

Our distinguished faculty has broad research interests, and they strive to conduct cutting-edge research. Their research has been published in high impact journals such as: Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, and Journal of Management.

    THE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The success of the graduate program is largely due to the faculty's commitment to mentoring students.  Students work closely with chosen faculty as they build competency and credentials in the craft of academic research and publication.  Our program combines a modest size with high-contact, quality instruction which allows us to create a superior learning environment-one emphasizing rigor and individual attention, but offering a generous degree of flexibility.

    THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

Unique in Mississippi, Oxford combines the charm of a small town with the sophistication of a larger city.  USA Today named Oxford a "Thriving New South Arts Mecca" and one of the top six college towns in the nation.  Oxford is ranked as one of the 20 Best Small Towns in America by Smithsonian  magazine.  Newsweek recently ranked the Ole Miss campus as the most beautiful in the nation.
