Assistant Professor In-Residence, Organizational Behavior
Job Summary: The Department of Management in the School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a faculty position at the Stamford campus, with teaching responsibilities primarily at the Stamford, Waterbury, and West Hartford campuses. The position is full-time, 9-month, at the rank of Assistant Professor In-Residence, beginning Fall 2013.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching: Teach Management classes primarily in the area of Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate and MBA levels. The ability to teach Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management and/or other Management area courses is desirable.
Research: Conduct research publishable in high quality practitioner and teaching oriented Management journals and scholarly books.
Service: Participate in service activities within the University and provide outreach to the business community.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent, with expertise in the field of Organizational Behavior, and demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to individuals with additional expertise in and the ability to teach Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management and/or other Management area courses (such as Human Resource Management, Cross-Cultural Management, Negotiation, Career Dynamics). A demonstrated publication record is also desirable as is a record of either professional management experience and/or academic outreach to the business community. Additional preferred qualifications include the ability to supervise students in learning accelerator projects and experience teaching at the Executive MBA, part-time MBA, and undergraduate levels.
Appointment Terms: The position is full-time, 9-month, at the rank of Assistant Professor In-Residence, beginning Fall 2013. In-Residence positions are non-tenure track, but may be renewed annually. Salary will be commensurate with candidate credentials and experience.
