We have begun a search for a new Undergraduate Dean at Babson College. This is an incredible opportunity for a scholar who is interested in moving into a Dean's role, has some administrative experience as a Chair or Program Director, or has a few years experience and is interested in a change.
The Undergraduate Dean at Babson is responsible for the academic leadership of the undergraduate school, including defining the vision and direction for the College's undergraduate portfolio. He/she is also responsible for creating and maintaining an environment supporting academic excellence for students and ensuring collaborative and effective relationships among all those who work in and with the undergraduate school. What is unique about this role, is it is primarily focused on curriculum development and student engagement so many of you may find it to be very interesting. At Babson, we are always undergoing curriculum innovation and we need a visionary leader to drive this process. Babson College seeks a new Dean of the Undergraduate School. Founded in 1919, Babson College is based in Wellesley, Massachusetts with satellite campuses in Boston and San Francisco. Reporting to the Provost, the Undergraduate Dean is responsible for academic leadership of the Undergraduate School, including defining the vision and direction for the College's undergraduate portfolio. He/She is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment supporting academic excellence for students and ensuring collaborative and effective relationships among all those who work in and with the Undergraduate School. In addition, he/she is expected to enhance the School's image and forge strategic partnerships within the campus community, and with public, private and international organizations. The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree from an accredited institution, and will satisfy the eligibility for appointment of a tenured professor in one of the Academic Divisions within the College.
