    Oakland University (www.oakland.edu) is recruiting for a tenure track
    Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship within the Department of
    Management and Marketing beginning in August 2013. The University has
    launched a variety of entrepreneurship initiatives including an
    entrepreneurship minor and concentration, and the OU INCubator, which
    supports new technology-based and life science ventures. The
    University also recently started its unique Ideas to Business (I2B)
    program which helps launch and fund OU student and faculty companies.



    The School of Business Administration prides itself on its congenial
    culture, emphasis on both research and teaching, and cross-functional
    collaborations. The School is accredited by the AACSB at the
    undergraduate and graduate level and over 60 full-time faculty.


    Oakland University enrolls over 19,000 students and is located 25
    miles north of Detroit in Oakland County. The university’s location
    offers the characteristics of a small town, family-oriented
    environment and the proximity to a metropolitan area that provides
    varied cultural, sports, and entertainment activities. Oakland County
    has the eighth highest per capita income for U.S. counties with over 1
    million residents and is the home of Automation Alley, a consortium of
    over 400 high technology companies.



    Required Qualifications



    A Ph.D. in a business discipline or related field from an AACSB
    accredited or equivalent university, by August 15, 2013.

    Evidence of academic research and scholarship in entrepreneurship
    commensurate with experience.

    Evidence or promise of effective teaching in entrepreneurship
    commensurate with experience.
