    Dear Colleagues,

Please mark your diaries and start thinking seriously about coming to Australia for a high quality and highly developmental conference experience early next year. I'm talking about the ACERE – the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange – which will be held in Sydney for the very first time, hosted by the University of New South Wales. The dates are February 4-7, 2014. Submission deadlines; keynote speakers etc will be announced shortly – for now we'd just like you to mark the dates and start thinking about it. See further our conference website, where you can register you can read testimonials from past participants and subscribe to our mailing list.

The ACERE conference emphasizes developmental feedback for participants at all stages of their career, and also encompasses a designated Doctoral Consortium. Building on positive experiences from our annual "paper development bootcamp" we will further upgrade the developmental aspects in 2014, radically increasing the number of papers that will receive thorough written and face-to-face, constructive feedback from peers and internationally leading colleagues. To give an indication of the caliber of people you can expect as discussant of your paper (and as keynote speakers) here is a list of people we have engaged in these roles over the past few years: David Audretsch, Zoltan Acs, Ted Baker, Candy Brush, Sara Carter, Michael Frese, Patti Greene, Gerard George, Benson Honig, Dev Jennings, Jen Jennings, Tom Lumpkin, Patricia McDougall, Mike Peng, Harry Sapienza, Saras Sarasvathy, Dean Shepherd, Justin Tan and Johan Wiklund.

The name "Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange" marks the continuity with the predecessor, the AGSE International Research Exchange, which was run for eight years by Swinburne University. ACERE continues to be a highly international conference, with 1/3 of participants coming from Europe and North America and with representation from a range of other countries in both hemispheres.

If you need more convincing, we might remind that February is summer break in the southern hemisphere and a particularly good time to escape cold weather conditions for our northern hemisphere colleagues. Further, the Australian dollar is currently on its way down, making the event even more worth the money.

Looking forward to seeing you Down Under early next year!
