    Volume 24: Innovative Pathways for University Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century

     

    Editors: Donald F. Kuratko, Indiana University & Sherry Hoskinson, University of Arizona.

     

    The editorial team of AISEIEG is inviting manuscript proposals for volume 24 in the series - "Innovative Pathways for University Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century."

     

    AISEIEG is published by Emerald Group Publishing and is edited by Donald F. Kuratko of Indiana University and Sherry Hoskinson of the

    University of Arizona. The series is a product of organized university-based entrepreneurship centres and programs through the Global

    Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC). The GCEC stands as the premier leadership organization addressing the emerging

    topics of importance to the world's university-based centres for entrepreneurship. The series has led the field with insightful and forward

    looking perspectives on topics for 25 years. Papers in this volume will focus on topics, perspectives, challenges, and visions developed by

    research and teaching faculty in the area of entrepreneurship in light of dramatic changes across the global environment of

    entrepreneurship and innovation.

     

    Contributions to the volume will be peer reviewed.

     

    The complex global environment for entrepreneurship and innovation has experienced significant change during the past decade

    requiring a deeper understanding of economic, capital, technological, environmental, and social forces in order for this generation to

    realize sustained success. University-based entrepreneurship is at the nexus of this environment. Students of entrepreneurship and the

    faculty that are educating the innovation workforce are uniquely positioned as agents in the movement of discovery and innovation. This

    volume seeks to build a large body of scholarship specific to entrepreneurship education by providing the latest perspectives on how the

    entrepreneurship field of study looks forward to reshape and prepare tomorrows highly sophisticated entrepreneurial generations.

     

    Scholarly papers from research and teaching faculty that examine the most current topics, perspectives, challenges, and visions in the

    area of entrepreneurship education and research are encouraged. Papers should reflect the sense of urgency and commitment to

    respond to the call to lead the coming generations in entrepreneurial spirit and excellence. it is the goal of this volume to have these

    contributions define a roadmap for university-based entrepreneurship.

     

    Flexibility in the structure and design of papers is encouraged. For instance, papers are welcome from a theoretical or conceptual

    orientation, or are empirically based in nature, as well as those based on existing work. However, it is important that any contribution

    retain a focus that is forward looking for the environment of entrepreneurship and innovation. The length of papers should not exceed 40

    double-spaced pages including references, tables, and graphs.

     

    Volume production schedule:

     

    - April 15: Call for papers

    - June 1: Abstracts submitted

    - July 1: Notification of accepted papers

    -----Nov 1: Draft of paper due for peer review

    - Dec 10: Reviewed papers to authors for final revisions

    - Jan 15: Final papers to editors for publication preparation

    - Jan 31: All materials to publisher

     

    About the Series

     

    Advances in the Study of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Economic Growth has a rich history in identifying, exploring, and articulating

    research topics of critical importance to entrepreneurship and economic growth. Accomplished scholars from around the world have

    contributed to past volumes. Titles have included Entrepreneurship and Global Competitiveness in Regional Economies: Determinants

    and Policy Implications; Spanning Boundaries and Disciplines: University Technology Commercialization in the Knowledge Age; Measuring

    the Social Value of innovation: A Link in the University Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship Equation; and Frontiers in Eco-

    Entrepreneurship. Volume 24 in this series represents a new era for AISEIEG. Beginning with this volume, the series is organized and

    edited by leadership of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (CCEC). GCEC has become the principal vehicle by which the

    top, established entrepreneurship centres, as well as emerging centres, can work together to share information, develop programs and

    initiatives, and collaborate with one another in advancing, strengthening, and celebrating the contributions and impact of individual

    centres.
