Position Summary
The Management Department in the School of Business, University of Connecticut, invites outstanding scholars to apply for the Thomas John and Bette Wolff Family Chair in Strategic Entrepreneurship. Researchers in any field related to strategic entrepreneurship will be considered, including, but not limited to the management of entrepreneurial organizations, technology commercialization, economic development, and strategic innovation. The position is full-time, 9-month, tenure-track at the rank of Full or Associate Professor, beginning Fall 2013 on the main University campus at Storrs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates must hold a PhD in management or a related field and have a record of scholarly productivity and teaching that would support appointment to a Chaired position and to the rank of tenured Professor or Associate Professor of Management. Candidates must have an ongoing, highly productive research program with publications in premier Management journals. In addition, candidates must have a proven record of teaching excellence and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and collegiality.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who complement department needs, have a research pipeline to support sustained scholarly contributions, a track record of thought leadership, and demonstrated interest in training doctoral students.
Appointment Terms
Compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience, and consistent with School of Business and University policies. Tenure-track faculty appointments are on the Storrs campus for a 9-month term.
