    IHE special issue

    Announcing ...

A special issue of Industry and Higher Education,

" Enterprise education, universities and entrepreneurship"

    Volume 26, No 6, December 2012

This is the fourth annual special issue of Industry and Higher Education featuring papers selected from the annual Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Conference refereed and revised for publication. This issue includes papers from the Enterprise Education and Entrepreneurial Learning in Organizations tracks of the November 2011 conference, which took place in Sheffield. The policy and economic juxtaposition of higher education, business and entrepreneurship and the contributions they are expected to make to recovery from a prolonged recession reinforce the relevance of the themes explored in this issue. During 2012, the UK has seen the publication of Sir Tim Wilson's review of business–university collaboration (Wilson, 2012) and the launch of several initiatives to implement its recommendations. It has also seen the publication of guidelines for enterprise and entrepreneurship for higher education in Ireland (HETAC, 2012) and planned for the UK (QAA, 2012).  This special issue continues the debate by presenting groupings of articles that individually and collectively advance understanding, research and practice on these topics.
