Tenure-Track Position in Entrepreneurship
The department is looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset who will help grow CSUSB's nationally-recognized Entrepreneurship program, winner of a 2010 National Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education Award from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) and recipient of numerous rankings from The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur® magazine.
Rank is open with Assistant Professor preferred. By the appointment date, candidates for this full-time position should possess an earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field of business. Prior business and/or entrepreneurial experience is desirable. Expectations for the position include teaching entrepreneurship at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as general management. It is also expected that the person filling this position will play an active role in program activities of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE), in the advising of students in the department and serving on college and university-wide committees. Candidates must have demonstrated teaching excellence, and evidence of publication record in Entrepreneurship or strong development of a promising stream of research.
Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community. In addition, new faculty are encouraged to develop and participate in activities that support the University's and the College of Business and Public Administration's strategic plan. The strategic plans emphasizes six areas: a) teaching and learning excellence; b) student access, retention, and success; c) excellence in research and creative activities; d) campus community; e) community engagement; and f) infrastructure. Anticipated start date is Fall 2013, subject to funding.
SALARY: Dependent on qualifications and experience. The possibility to earn additional compensation through summer teaching exists.
