Dear Entrepreneurship Division Colleagues, Students, and Friends,
You may have thought you missed the boat, but here in may sabbatical mode I've just become aware that the ACERE Conference website will still be open for abstract submissions until August 26 due to multiple requests for extensions – and the realization that we won't be able to start processing the abstract until after that date, anyway. No, we're not desperate. Can I also remind you that Saras Sarasvathy will be one of our keynote speakers and that as usual, Dean Shepherd and myself, Per Davidsson will have extended roles in the doctoral consortium and other paper-developmental roles, along with Saras and other highly regarded international scholars. Like the Babson conference, a 900 word abstract only is needed by the 26th. Looking forward to welcoming you in Brisbane! Previous postings follow below / Per Davidsson.

Dear Entrepreneurship Division Colleagues, Students, and Friends,
Please consider coming "Down Under" for a manageable scale, high quality entrepreneurship conference early next year! We are determined to continue to develop ACERE (until 2011 "AGSE-IERE") as a highly developmental scholarly meeting with lots of interaction, quality feedback, and interesting keynotes. As to the latter, I just had confirmation from Saras Sarasvathy that she will be one of our keynotes at the 2013 conference. You can find some testimonials from participants in the 2012 conference here ((low right corner). Official call follows below. / Best Regards / Per Davidsson.

ACERE Conference 'Call for Abstracts'
Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts for papers to be presented at the ACERE Conference, to be held in Brisbane, February 6-8, 2013. The Doctoral Consortium and Policy Forum will be held on 5 February preceding the conference start.
The proud tradition of an annual, Australian-based, high quality entrepreneurship research meeting continues. We encourage the presentation of empirical and conceptual papers on any aspect of entrepreneurship understood as the creation of new economic activity and/or as the founding and management of independent ventures. Papers will be grouped into thematic sessions, which are likely to include, but not be limited to, new venture creation; corporate entrepreneurship; social entrepreneurship; resourcing new ventures; entrepreneurship and gender; and entrepreneurship theory.
Abstracts must be received 19 August 2012 and should be submitted via the Conference website http://acereconference.com/ Before you prepare your abstract, please read the abstract guidelines http://acereconference.com/call-for-abstracts/ .
