Call for Participants
Following successful doctoral consortiums in 2011 and 2012, the Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC) is pleased to announce its third doctoral student consortium and professional development workshop. This event will be part of the 2013 FERC, which will be hosted by Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile. For more information about the conference please visit http://ferc2013.org Objectives: The FERC Doctoral Consortium and Professional Workshop seeks to help doctoral students and early-career faculty interested in the scholarly study of family business with the development of their work. We are particularly interested in facilitating opportunities to meet and interact with future colleagues, and helping the development of research projects by having active scholars provide feedback on active research projects.
Program: The Doctoral Consortium and Professional Workshop will include presentations and discussions on a range of topics related to family business research and education including: appreciating the distinctive nature and challenge of family business research, strategies for conceptual bridge-building from mainstream management disciplines toward family business, the special challenge of publishing family business research and career development guidance.
Consortium faculty: The 2013 consortium faculty are Alexandra Dawson – Doctoral Consortium Chair (JMSB, Concordia University), Aramis Rodriguez (IESA School of Business), Gustavo Gonzales (Universidad de los Andes), Isabel C. Botero (FERC 2013 Program Chair), Claudio Müller (Universidad de Chile), and Allison Pearson (Mississippi State University).
