    in conjunction with the

Sustainability, Ethics, & Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference

    April 11-12, 2013 – Denver, Colorado

The editors of the Journal of Management Studies (JMS) are pleased to announce that they will be holding their latest Young Scholars Development Conference on April 9-11, 2013, in Denver Colorado.  The conference is the latest in a series of developmental meetings that the editors have been conducting around the globe.  We are pleased to be coordinating this meeting with conveners of the Sustainability, Ethics, & Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference; the meeting will be held at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado.  The program is specifically designed to meet the needs of later stage doctoral students and those who have recently graduated and who hold the rank of Assistant Professor (or similar).

    Focus

The primary thrust of the workshop will be to assist young scholars in shaping their technically competent research into manuscripts that make strong contributions.  The meeting will feature roundtable workshops, keynote addresses from senior scholars, and paper development sessions.  Editors from JMS will also lead sessions on the process of publishing in top management journals.  The conference is designed to provide networking opportunities among participants and information and insights on issues that are central during the early stages of research career.  Some sessions will include group workshops organized along the research interests of the participants (sustainability, ethics, and entrepreneurship) but young scholars from all management disciplines are encourage to apply and attend.

The Consortium will begin with a reception on Tuesday evening, April 9, and will be followed by working sessions on Wednesday, April 10 (all day), and Thursday, April (a morning session prior to the beginning of the SEE Conference).

    Young Scholar Stipend
