    CALL FOR TRACK PROPOSALS
    DEADLINE: 19 JUNE 2012

     

     
     
     
    We are kindly inviting you to propose tracks, symposia and development working groups (DWGs) for the 13th EURAM Annual Conference "Democratising Management". For the theme of the conference please click here. The conference will take place in Istanbul between 26-29 June 2013. For further details about the conference please go to www.euram2013.com.

    Prior to submitting your track proposal, we encourage you to take a look at the list of standing tracks by following this link in order to avoid duplication of track themes.

    Each proposal will be evaluated by the EURAM 2013 Conference Scientific Committee and the EURAM Special Interest Group (SIG) chairs. Decisions will be based on the overall merit of the proposal, the diversity of the track team and the fit with the conference theme.
    Your responsibilities as a track chair will be to:
    • Propose a track theme likely to attract enough participation
    • Promote the track to ensure that there is an adequate number of submissions
    • Organise a peer review cycle for the papers submitted to your track
    • In agreement with the scientific committee and SIG chairs, select the papers to be included in the conference program and send the acceptance letters to authors
    • Nominate papers for the best paper award
    • Nominate reviewers for the best reviewer award
    • Allocate chairs, discussants and authors to sessions in a way to create an attractive track program.
    Track proposals are to be submitted to euram2013@gsu.edu.tr quoting Track Proposal, Symposia Proposal or DWG Proposal in the subject line. Please click here for further information about different types of submissions.

    Each proposal needs to provide the following information:

     
     

    1. The title 

    2. The Special Interest Group to which the proposal is submitted, or indicate GENERAL
        TRACK if the proposal is not connected to any of the existing SIGs. For a list of SIGs,
        click here.

    3. The names, institutions, email addresses, phone numbers and research fields of the
        organisers.

    4.  A short description of the proposed track/symposium/DWG (maximum 1000 words),
        and four key words that capture its essence.

    5.  A short bibliography about the proposed topic. 

    6.  An indication of the number of sessions and papers (for track proposals),
        presentations (for symposia proposals) you would hope to attract/involve. For DWGs,
        please list the names of the speakers and their affiliations. Please refer back to the
        history of the track if already proposed in previous EURAM conferences.

    7.  A short biography for each co-organiser 

    8. The name of the corresponding organiser. This is the person who will be responsible
         for the final acceptance of the papers in your track, the coordination of co-organisers,
        and for communication with the organising committee as well as with colleagues at
        EURAM involved in organising the Conference.

    9. A short description of your previous experiences of organising EURAM
        tracks/symposia/DWGs

    10. If you propose a track indicate a list of 40 people who have committed to act as
          reviewers for the track, specifying their names, institutions and email addresses

    11. Indicate the name of five engaged scholars who can attend the conference in the
          role of discussants. Specify their names, institutions and email addresses.

     

     

     
    The templates for the Track Proposal and for the Reviewers List are attached to can be found on here (at the bottom of the page). The scientific committee will only evaluate track proposals which fulfil all the requirements indicated in the template.

    Announcement of tracks & call for papers 25 September 2012
    Deadline for paper submission 15 Jan 2013 2 pm Belgian time
    Notification of acceptance From 26 March 2013
