| Generate revenue through training, consulting and providing commercialization services (business plans, feasibility studies, due diligence etc.) to university faculty, staff, students, and individuals outside of the university. Evaluate intellectual property for technical and market viability. Recommend and implement commercialization strategies for university and community clients. Educate and consult with university and community members on intellectual property matters, startup formation, raising capital, prototype development, product sourcing, marketing, sales, accounting, and finance. Develop relationships with angel investors, venture capitalists, corporate banks, government entities, and regional agencies to assist in commercialization. Mentor and supervise staff and review work for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Work with student teams in feasibility analysis. Identify market segments, measure demand, analyze consumer and competitive markets using primary or secondary market research. Organize market and conduct idea development workshops, trainings and programs. Identify applicable programmatic grants and ensure awarded grant deliverables are met. Other duties may be assigned. |
