    Dear Colleagues,

We live in an evolving world where emerging economies serve as important engines for change and growth, but many in these dynamic environments struggle.  However, there are rising opportunities for management scholars to become involved in ways that can positively impact economic and social conditions in these countries.  Many of us feel an urge to help, but are not well informed of opportunities available to assist entrepreneurs in these economies.

We would like to help management scholars connect with educational and business development programs in emerging economies.  Our objective is to create a common repository that informs Academy of Management (AOM) members of programs available to volunteer on a temporary basis.  We are particularly interested in programs where management (strategy, leadership, HR) and entrepreneurship knowledge is used to educate would-be entrepreneurs and small business owners in emerging economies.  These programs may be sponsored by universities or NGOs.

We seek your assistance in compiling this information by asking:

    1.      If you know of specific programs that educate entrepreneurs in developing economies in management (strategy, leadership, HR), entrepreneurship, or business-related subjects: What are their names? Where are these located? Do these have webpages?

    2.      We are also sponsoring a Professional Development Workshop at the upcoming AOM meeting in Boston on this topic.  If your university sponsors a program of this sort, would a representative be interested in presenting more information about the program in this workshop?

**Please send responses to: emergingprogsurvey@gmail.com and forward this message to those who may be able to help.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.  Information collected will enhance our mission of sharing knowledge with those who need it most.

    Best regards,
