    Job Posting Title: Assistant Professor In-Residence - Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management

    Job Summary:  The Department of Management in the School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a regional campus faculty position, with teaching responsibilities primarily at the West Hartford, Waterbury, and Stamford campuses.  The position is full-time, 9-month, at the rank of Assistant Professor In-Residence, beginning Fall 2012. 

    The Management Department, one of five departments in the School of Business, actively engages in research in strategic management, organization behavior, entrepreneurship, and globalization. The department is consistently ranked among the top-twenty in the world in research productivity and was ranked 17th in 2009.  Details about the department's faculty, research, and academic programs are available at http://www.business.uconn.edu/cms/p211.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Teaching:  Teach Management classes primarily in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at the undergraduate and MBA levels.  The ability to teach Organizational Behavior courses is desirable.

    Research:  Conduct research publishable in high quality practitioner and teaching oriented Management journals and scholarly books.

    Service:  Participate in service activities within the University and provide outreach to the business community.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Management or related field, with expertise in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management; and demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.

    Preferred Qualifications:  Preference will be given to individuals with additional expertise in and the ability to teach Organizational Behavior.  A demonstrated publication record is also desirable, as is a record of either professional management experience and/or academic outreach to the business community.  Additional preferred qualifications include the ability to supervise students in learning accelerator projects and experience teaching at the Executive MBA, part-time MBA, and undergraduate levels.

    Appointment Terms:  The position is full-time, 9-month, at the rank of Assistant Professor In-Residence, beginning Fall 2012.  In-Residence positions are non-tenure track, but may be renewed annually.  Salary will be commensurate with candidate credentials and experience.
