Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we let you know the draft program is now
prepared for the 2012 Meeting of the United States Association for Small
Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE). You can access the USASBE 2012
Program online by going to
http://usasbe.org/conference/2012/program/
The Program Committee's goal is to have our best conference program yet---
and we believe that has been achieved. Our theme this year is
Entrepreneurship: a Source of Renewal and Growth. We feel that New Orleans
is an excellent example of how entrepreneurs can renew a community.
Our keynoters include Robbie Vitrano of Naked Pizza, Robert Baron of
Oklahoma State University, Nick Friedman of College Hunks Hauling Junk, and
Barry Moltz. As always our pillar sessions in Research, Public Policy,
Outreach, and Pedagogy will inspire.
This year we have a record 17 pre-conferences, 70 competitive papers, 27
Workshops, 24 Cases and 61 Developmental papers. Shortly, we will be
announcing a number of member led roundtables that will also be held Sunday
morning. The national finalists in terms of model entrepreneurship programs
will be presenting. USASBE's doctoral consortium will be held on Thursday
and the Career Center will be open during the entire conference.
The New Orleans Marriot is a fabulous venue but you must register before
December 15 to take advantage of the USASBE special rate.
I hope you will choose to join us in New Orleans from January 12-15, 2012.
